color correction methods
Here I color corrected a couple of mangos and put it behind a cutting board which was also color corrected, and did this by using a few Photoshop methods. First with the mangos that I found on Flicker.com which is a good site for photos. When in PS i used the magnetic lasso tool to go around the three mangos that I wanted. After that I used an inverse selection tool to get rid of the back round and just leave my three mangos i wanted. Then that is when the adjusting of the colors started to begin. For brightness/contrast, levels, curves, and exposure all I did was just a little bit of tweaking in each of these sections. The brightness helped along with the curves to get a my color started some. Also under exposure I liked the gamma correction because it helped me bring out my green in my fruit. When using Vibrance, Hue/saturation, and color balance these were the methods to really polish my mango. Vibrance was useful, and used a lot of it because it really brought my fruit to life. Hue/saturation was good for adding more color of red and and add some light to my fruit. Last but not least color balance was the finishing touch on the mango were i got to bring out even more red and also yellow to really make my fruit look tropical.
To make my fruit look presentable I wanted to find something that had some relation to it so I decided to put in on a cutting board. The first step I did in PS was to get rid my background and only keep my cutting board. To this this I simply used the polygonal lasso tool to go around the cutting board and again did an inverse tool. Next was to fill up my page with the cutting board so i used free transform to scale it and keep the size proportional. Many of the same methods where used besides hue/saturation and color balance, because color was not need for the cutting board. The original cutting board was dull so I decided to brighten.
